Shavout. Many celebrate with picnics, family outings, and most notably with bonfires on the beach. Unfortunately, due to Anna's severe asthma, we could not partake in the festivities this year. In fact, she had to carry her inhaler around with her for two days after...
(we did however watch Elmo's "Firehouse" DVD, ate burnt pizza, and took turns singing Johnny Cash's
Ring of Fire on the karaoke machine -
we may not celebrate Israeli holidays quite as intended, but again you have to give us credit for creativity)
